Job summary

W. M. Lyles Co. is seeking an on-site construction estimator/administrator to lead field operations, supervise foremen and subcontractors, and manage estimating activities. You will develop cost estimates, take-offs, and assist with CPM scheduling while upholding safety and quality standards across California projects.

Qualifications include a BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, with 1 year in the construction industry preferred. Travel up to 25% of the time is expected.

Qualifications

• BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering preferred.
• 1 year of experience in construction is preferred.
• Strong computer skills for project design, job costing, scheduling and estimating.

Responsibilities

• Review design documents, shop drawings and submittals for contract scope.
• Set up job site logistics and procure subcontractor services.
• Monitor project costs and identify areas for improvement.
• Develop meeting agendas and minutes; document daily activities.
• Prepare proposals, change orders, RFIs and letters of intent as needed.
• Assist with CPM schedule and project engineering procedures.
