Job summary

Ecker Construction is seeking a field supervisor to support the Superintendent in on-site construction oversight. The role includes coordinating field crew activities, subcontractors and material vendors to keep the project on schedule.

Responsibilities include communicating site issues, leading crew morale, collecting reporting data, managing permits and inspections, and ensuring safety compliance across the job site in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Reads and understands project documents including drawings, specs, RFIs, submittals and contracts.
• Understands scheduling and cost control for project progress.
• Demonstrates attention to detail and ability to spot discrepancies.
• Manages and communicates with field teams, subcontractors and vendors.
• Willingness to perform required duties to complete the project on time.
• Works outdoors in varied weather and complies with safety procedures.
• Proficient with project software: ProCore, Viewpoint FWC, BlueBeam, MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate field activities to expedite the project schedule.
• Provide input to Superintendent on site issues and conditions.
• Lead crew morale and performance.
• Collect data for reporting and problem resolution.
• Ensure compliance with safety laws and regulations.
• Manage permits and inspections; attend progress meetings.
• Maintain daily progress reports, payroll and equipment time reporting.
• Monitor material waste and quality across trades.
• Collaborate with client/designers/inspectors from start to finish.
