Job summary

Barton Malow is seeking a Project Manager (Self-Perform) to lead concrete operations on travel-based projects, onsite supervision of formwork, reinforcement and placement to ensure safety, quality and alignment with budget and schedule.

This role requires strong leadership, deep knowledge of concrete methods, and the ability to coordinate craft labor and resources across multiple crews while collaborating with clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering with concrete project experience.
  • 5+ years of construction experience managing self-performed concrete work.
  • OSHA 30-Hour certification preferred; willingness to travel and spend majority on-site.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Barton Malow's self-performed concrete activities: formwork, reinforcement, placement, and quality checks.
  • Plan and manage daily craft labor, supervision, productivity, and placement sequencing.
  • Manage budgets for self-perform work, including cost tracking and forecasting.
  • Coordinate procurement and delivery of concrete materials, formwork, tools, and equipment; review submittals including mix designs.
  • Support project controls, scheduling, and reporting on progress and turnover.
  • Provide leadership and development to field supervisors and craft personnel.
  • Work with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure expectations and contractual requirements are satisfied.
