Job summary

MaxIT Consulting – Max Corporate Group in West Nyack, NY seeks an experienced Concrete Estimator to prepare accurate, competitive project estimates for commercial, industrial, and residential concrete work on-site. You will analyze drawings, perform quantity takeoffs, evaluate labor and material costs, and support projects from preconstruction to handoff.

Proficiency with Excel and estimating software is required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years estimating experience in concrete construction.
• Strong knowledge of concrete methods and materials.
• Ability to read specifications, drawings, contracts, and bid documents.
• Experience with quantity takeoffs and detailed project estimates.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Excel.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• On-site availability in West Nyack, NY.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specs, bid packages, and contract docs.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for foundations, slabs, walls, sidewalks, curbs, structural concrete.
• Prepare estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Review vendor and subcontractor pricing.
• Analyze project risks, cost drivers, and value opportunities.
• Prepare bid proposals and support contract negotiations.
• Maintain estimating databases, historical costs, and unit pricing information.
• Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, and operations teams during project handoff.
• Track awarded and lost projects to improve future estimating accuracy.
• Stay current with market pricing, construction trends, and industry standards.
