Job summary

Amentum has a requirement for an experienced commercial professional to join the Hinkley Point C project team in Bridgwater, Somerset as on-site lead for the commercial function. Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or similar related subject.
• Quantity Surveying or Commercial Contract Management post-graduation work experience.
• Working knowledge of Construction Contracts, ideally NEC forms of contract.
• Security Cleared or the ability to obtain the required level of clearance.
• Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to communicate confidently and work well under pressure.
• Locally based or willing to be based on site; hybrid working considered.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programmes.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Commercial Manager and Project Controls team to support the delivery of the commercial function of the framework.
• Develop in-person working relationships with Amentum, Client and Subcontract teams to effectively deliver contract requirements.
• Execution of NEC3 forms of contract activities including preparation of applications for payment, involvement with Task Order pricing, implementation of change and drafting of early warnings.
• Gathering evidence to support main contract applications and fulfilling contract audit requirements.
• Provide support for Project Controls and Cost Engineers to submit cost reports for review by the Commercial Manager, enabling cost forecasts and margin analysis.
• Ensure Sub-Contract arrangements are put in place when required using the NEC suite of Contract Documents.
• Ensure correct administrative processes are in place for management of Sub-Contracts, including change controls and compensation events.
