Job summary

SG Metal & Glass in Bridgeview, IL is seeking a hands-on Fabrication Associate to join our 20,000 sq. ft. facility and directly assemble high-performance glazing and aluminum systems for commercial projects.

You will operate aluminum saws and fabrication machinery, read shop drawings, and load trucks while maintaining a safe, organized shop. We offer weekly pay, health coverage, 401K, PTO, tool replacement, and career development in a long-established Chicago contractor.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in construction, fabrication, or warehouse settings.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Able to read a tape measure accurately and use basic power tools safely.
• Able to lift 50+ pounds and stand 8 hours per shift.
• OSHA 10 certification and aluminum systems experience are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate aluminum saws and fabrication machinery with high precision.
• Use hand tools, drills, and impacts to assemble aluminum window frames.
• Assist in fabricating break metal components per shop drawings.
• Interpret tape measures and architectural plans to meet specs.
• Load outgoing project trucks and unload incoming deliveries.
• Maintain a safe, organized shop and meet daily production goals.
