Job summary

Clise Properties, Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer to maintain and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other building systems. The role involves monitoring operations, performing preventive maintenance, and addressing work orders with a focus on safety and tenant service.

The position requires 2+ years in a similar role, strong mechanical skills, and ability to work in shifts across mornings/evenings. On-site work with a comprehensive benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years in commercial high-rise building engineering, HVAC, or related.
• Ability to read/use testing equipment, meters, and sensors.
• Knowledge of basic hand tools and power tools.
• Understand safe operation and building systems.
• Strong verbal/written communication; able to follow manuals.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems.
• Adjust HVAC equipment to maintain established criteria.
• Repair and replace building components, fixtures, plumbing, and electrical.
• Participate in water treatment chemical programs.
• Maintain operation logs and inspection records.
• Apply HVAC distribution and controls knowledge to resolve work orders.
• Respond promptly to tenant requests per supervisor guidelines.
• Maintain professional relations with contractors and tenants.
• Collaborate with operation staff as a team.
• Assist in emergency procedures: evacuations, bomb searches, life safety alarms.
