Job summary
Freeport-McMoRan is hiring for a Welder/Boilermaker at Morenci, AZ. You will perform assembly, maintenance and repairs of boilers, tanks and vessels using welding processes and contribute to safe, efficient operations on site.
The role requires 2+ years of relevant experience, proficiency in welding/cutting, and ability to follow English instructions and safety standards. On-site housing allowances and comprehensive benefits are available as part of Total Rewards.
Qualifications
- Two (2) years of experience in the crafts of Welder/Boilermaker.
- Proficiency in welding/cutting.
- Must have completed academic and practical competencies and demonstrate aptitude including safety.
- Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety instructions in English.
- Ability to communicate in English regarding job assignments and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform duties related to assembly, maintenance, and repair of boilers, pressure vessels, tanks and vats using welding processes.
- Perform routine maintenance activities.
- Develop solutions for maintenance situations.
- Complete Work Orders and related maintenance documentation.
- Train and mentor maintenance employees.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
