Job summary

Bluegrass Community & Technical College is seeking an Instructor- Biology (Anatomy and Physiology) to teach transferable biology, anatomy and physiology courses, lecture and supervise laboratories, advise students, and participate in college service and professional development. The position may include online and on-site instruction at regional campuses and requires scheduling flexibility.

A Master’s degree in Biology or a related field is required, plus 18 graduate hours or an equivalent in

Qualifications

• Experience with Blackboard or other Learning Management Systems.
• Master’s degree in Biology or a biological science area such as anatomy, biochemistry, environmental sciences, genetics, medicine, neuroscience, physiology, zoology, etc.
• Master’s degree plus 18 graduate semester hours in Biology or a biological science area.

Responsibilities

• Teach transferable, non-majors/majors biology and anatomy and physiology.
• Set up lab exams.
• Develop syllabi, course materials, exams, student outcome assessment, etc.
• Use computer technology in lectures, laboratories, and online to enhance student learning.
• Work closely with biology and other A&P faculty members.
• Assist part-time instructors and substitute for absent instructors as needed.
• Adhere to all institutional policies and procedures.
• Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics.
• Participate in internal and external service within the college.
