Nielsen Chevrolet in Dover, New Jersey is seeking an Automotive Parts Driver/Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support the parts department with timely deliveries and pickups. This full-time, on-site role requires transporting parts, updating records, and coordinating with the team to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Salary is $17.50 per hour, paid weekly, with benefits and UAW 259 affiliation. Schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm, with on-site work and delivery travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety‑minded team member.
• Ability to read delivery documents and route information accurately.
• Strong attention to detail in checking parts and records.
• Friendly, professional communication with customers and staff.
• Good organizational skills for multiple deliveries and changing priorities.
• Willingness to learn the parts system; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Safely deliver and pick up parts and equipment at various locations.
• Coordinate routes and priorities with the Parts Manager and team.
• Unpack, count, weigh, and inspect incoming parts against docs.
• Document damaged or missing items and file vendor claims if needed.
• Scan barcodes, assign SKU numbers, and stock parts per FIFO rules.
• Pack and stage orders for technicians, customers, or routes.
• Update real-time inventory software and maintain logs.
• Operate forklifts and RF scanners; keep workspace clean and safe.
• Verify parts and quantities against invoices and delivery docs.
• Load/unload parts, secure cargo, and obtain signatures.
• Communicate delays or issues promptly to the parts team.
• Return undelivered parts and paperwork to the appropriate team.
