Job summary

Cedar Point is seeking an Animation Technician to inspect and repair animatronics, ride lighting, and ride show elements on our premier amusement park attractions in Ohio. You will adapt to a wide range of projects and be responsible for on-site repair and troubleshooting, working with full-time technicians and supervisors to grow your skills.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and union membership, plus the ability to climb and work at heights.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED.
Must have valid driver’s license.
Must join Laborers Union.
Must provide own hand tools.
Basic understanding of electrical equipment and pneumatic systems.
Experience with animatronics and animatronic prop controllers preferred.
Able to work at heights including catwalks, aerial lifts, crane baskets, scaffolding, and structure climb.
Willing to work various shifts and days with nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.

Responsibilities

Adapt to a wide variety of projects including pneumatic systems, prop controllers, waterpark equipment, animatronic systems, fiberglass, welding, fog systems and much more.
Be responsible for the inspection, on-site repair, and general troubleshooting of these systems.
Work under the supervision of the full-time technicians, foreman, and supervisor to grow your skills as a team member
