University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC) is seeking adjunct faculty to teach on-site in Hickam Air Force Base, HI for the Graduate Business Administration program. The course BMGT 690, Business Strategy Capstone, examines strategic decision-making with a team-based foreign market entry project and market analysis.

The candidate must hold a terminal degree in a related field, have at least 3 years of teaching experience in international business or global strategy, and bring current industry

Qualifications

• Terminal degree in Business Administration, International Business, Strategy, Marketing, Finance, or a related field from an accredited institution of higher learning.
• 3 years of prior teaching experience in international business, global strategy, market entry strategies, financial analysis, and cross-cultural management.
• Directly relevant, current and active industry professional experience in Business or closely related field.
• Position is on-site in Hickam Air Force Base, HI.

• Actively engage students through frequent interaction that motivates them to succeed and conveys genuine energy and enthusiasm for their learning.
• Guide students in active collaboration and the application of their learning in problem- and project-based learning demonstrations.
• Provide rich and regular constructive feedback, utilizing rubrics effectively for the assessment of student work, and acknowledging student accomplishments.
• Demonstrate relevant and current subject-matter expertise, and help students connect concepts across their academic program.
• Provide feedback to your program chair on possible curricular improvements.
