Job summary

Family Medicine and Rehabilitation Primary Care & Integrated Behavioral Health in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an on-site Psychiatrist (MD/DO) with a focus on addiction medicine to join our integrated behavioral health team. The role emphasizes evaluating and treating substance use disorders in adults within a primary care setting.

The ideal candidate will have an active license, completed psychiatry residency, board eligibility/certification, and experience with MOUD.

Qualifications

Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency.
Board certification or board eligibility in Psychiatry.
Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
DEA registration appropriate to the position.
Experience with substance use disorders and co-occurring psychiatric conditions.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnostic assessments, and risk assessments.
Diagnose and treat a broad range of psychiatric conditions including mood and anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, PTSD, and other behavioral health conditions.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based psychiatric and medical practices.
Provide ongoing medication management and monitor treatment response, adherence, adverse effects, and safety.
Evaluate patients for higher levels of care when clinically indicated and coordinate referrals to detox, outpatient programs, or residential treatment.
