Job summary

GOAL High School in Colorado is seeking an Academic Coach to engage students in-person and online, collaborate with teachers, and promote student success through outreach and support services. You will help ensure a safe, productive learning environment and respond to identified students while building strong relationships with families and staff.

The position emphasizes on-site presence, MTSS interventions, discipline oversight, and community engagement.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Must reside in Colorado.
• Possess a high school diploma or its equivalent (e.g., the GED).
• Demonstrate subject matter competency by earning an Associate degree; or completing at least two years (48 credit hours) of study or passing Praxis/WorkKeys.
• Two years of experience working with youth preferred.
• Two years of experience working with students in a secondary school or school system preferred.
• Experience working with at risk youth preferred.
• Bilingual preferred but not required.

• Provide on-site direct support to the site staff and students in the overall management and operation of the school.
• Assist with transportation of students as needed.
• Monitor attendance and provide interventions to students not actively engaged in school.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure accurate truancy documentation and probate as needed.
• Complete training and adhere to confidentiality and FERPA compliance.
• Engage with Community resources and recruit new students through partnerships and events.
• Provide basic tech support and helpdesk communication for students.
• Support teachers in academic learning and ensure access to accommodations.
