Job summary

University of New Hampshire invites applications for adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate Physics courses and labs starting Fall 2026. Courses include algebra-based Introduction to Physics and calculus-based General Physics.

All classes are 16-week, on-campus offerings at the Manchester campus. Responsibilities include delivering lectures and laboratory sessions, maintaining course materials in the LMS, and timely grading of exams and assignments.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in physics or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution.
  • Demonstrated ability to create a dynamic teaching/learning environment for students.
  • Ability to teach and mentor students in a laboratory setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver 3-hour weekly lectures; in-person sessions for two 1.5-hour blocks weekly; 2-hour weekly lab sessions (50%).
  • Maintain course materials through the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Proctor exams, grade homework and lab reports in a timely manner.
