Job summary

Milton Hershey School in Hershey, PA seeks Full-time Flex Houseparents, a two-person couple living on campus to care for 8-13 students in a home setting. You will supervise, mentor, manage routines, administer medications, drive to activities, and lead devotions and Sunday Chapel.

Hours start with nine consecutive days on duty, then three days off, with opportunity to transition to a placed houseparent role. Competitive benefits include health insurance, housing, meals, and paid training.

Qualifications

• Experience working or volunteering with youth.
• Two-person role for couples legally married for at least two years.
• Both spouses must be age 27 or older.
• No more than three dependent children may reside in the student home.
• Valid U.S. driver\'s license and ability to become certified to drive student home vans.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
• Demonstrated integrity and professionalism; MHS staff serve as role models for students.

Responsibilities

• Providing daily supervision and mentorship.
• Managing household routines and student schedules.
• Administering medications and ensuring student wellness.
• Driving students to activities and planning development and recreation with students.
• Leading daily devotions and accompanying students to Sunday Chapel.
• Overseeing budgeting and household reporting.
