Job summary

UC Santa Cruz is seeking an Early Education Teacher (Infant/Toddler/Two’s) to supervise children and plan developmentally appropriate curriculum across ages 3 months to 8 years. The role may involve mentoring Student Assistant Teachers and requires word-processing skills for assessments and newsletters.

Applicants must hold a valid California Child Development Permit or higher, pass a TB test and background check, and be able to obtain Pediatric CPR/First Aid.

Qualifications

• Valid Child Development Associate Teacher Permit or higher.
• Current negative TB test and clear pre-employment background check.
• Ability to obtain Pediatric CPR and First Aid Certificate.
• Must pass CANRA background and health/safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the safety and well-being of children per licensing requirements.
• Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Maintain documentation and portfolios; communicate with families.
• Mentor student assistants and support staff.
