Job summary

The University of North Georgia is seeking a Biology Student Lab Assistant- Institutional Student Worker on the Oconee campus. We are looking for candidates who can follow protocols, adhere to safety rules, be reliable with schedules, and are motivated to work.

Availability on Mondays and Fridays is required. Responsibilities include monitoring laptop updates, washing lab dishes, assisting with setup and breakdown of lab materials and equipment, cleaning and maintenance of lab equipment, weekly

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
• No prior experience required; training will be provided.
• Must have availability Mondays and Fridays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor laptop updates.
• Wash lab dishes.
• Assist with setup/breakdown of lab experiment materials and equipment.
• Assist with cleaning and maintenance of lab equipment.
• Flush emergency eye washes and emergency showers in labs weekly.
• Assist with the care and culturing of live bacteria, fungi, plants, and some small bugs.
