This course provides students with a broad introduction to residential interior design. Specific topics include: the process and profession of design; the elements and principles of design; color theory; floor plans, housing, and building systems; architectural detail; furniture selection and arrangement; space planning; universal and sustainable design; lighting; interior finishes, window treatments, and accessories.Additional responsibilities may include advising students.Adjunct positions are contracted on a semester-by-semester basis.**This position is an interest list for future adjunct teaching opportunities.** Applications will be reviewed by the department periodically and all candidates will be notified by email if they are chosen to interview for a position.**Knowledge, Skills, and Experience**Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
