Job summary

The County of Kauai is seeking a Van Driver (Substitute) for their Transportation Agency. As a substitute/on-call, you will operate and maintain a passenger van, ensuring safe transport according to assigned schedules.

Your responsibilities will include transporting passengers, assisting those with disabilities, conducting daily vehicle inspections, and maintaining records. Ideal candidates must possess a valid driver's license and have experience in general work activities.

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or equivalent education/experience.
• One year of general work experience is required.
• Valid motor-vehicle operator's license (Hawai‘i Type 3 or equivalent) and valid medical examiner certificate.

Responsibilities

• Transport passengers along designated routes.
• Assist disabled passengers into and out of the vehicle.
• Conduct daily vehicle inspections.
• Service and maintain the vehicle.
• Maintain trip records and report defects.
