Job summary

HSHS in Springfield, IL is seeking a Surgical Technologist for dedicated on-call coverage in the Surgery department. You will prepare and monitor equipment, pass instruments, maintain the sterile field, and assist with patient transfer and positioning during intraoperative care, working with minimal supervision.

This full-time role offers a pay range of $26.80-$40.20 per hour and a $20,000 sign-on bonus. The candidate should have an Associate degree preferred, CST certification preferred, and

Qualifications

• Associates degree in surgical technology is preferred.
• Graduate from a recognized surgical technology program or military training with DD214.
• Illinois: High School Diploma or GED plus 3 years working as a Surgical Technologist may be considered in lieu of education.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team in intraoperative care, preparing and monitoring equipment.
• Pass instruments and maintain the sterile field.
• Assist with patient transfer/positioning and perform various surgical skills.
