Job summary

Circle of Life Academy is seeking a short-call substitute teacher to cover for a determined period. You will implement lesson plans, supervise classroom activities, assign homework, and follow the instructions of the full-time teacher while grading tests.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree, a short-call substitute teaching license, and a valid driver’s license; background check and drug screening are required. Prior classroom experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Held a bachelor’s degree and eligible for a Short Call Substitute Teaching license.
• One year experience in an educational setting is preferred.
• Driver’s License required.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Implement existing lesson plans and grade tests.
• Oversee classroom activities and assign homework.
• Follow the full-time teacher’s instructions.
• Maintain classroom discipline as per school policies.
• Perform duties such as lunchroom duty and hall monitoring.
