Distinctive Schools is seeking an On-Call Subsitute Teacher to join multiple campuses in Chicago. Start date is September 2026, with a pay rate starting at $20.00 per hour, based on experience. The position is on-call/part-time (up to 29 hours weekly) and reports to the Principal.
Responsibilities include delivering specified content in the absence of the classroom teacher, maintaining a safe learning environment, and following campus procedures and schedules across Distinctive School campuses.

Substitute Teacher is responsible for the delivery of specified course content in the absence of the classroom teacher. Responsible for providing a safe educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, and psychological growth. Substitute Teacher workday corresponds with the teacher’s workday.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally, the job requires 10% sitting, 50% walking, and 40% standing.
