Job summary

SHARP Literacy, Inc. is seeking Substitute STEAM Educators to lead one-hour, drop-in workshops for K3–5th grade during school hours. This on-call role requires readiness to cover sessions with little notice and no fixed weekly commitment.

You’ll be trained across the full curriculum and gain confidence delivering hands-on, technology-based activities. Strong classroom management, reliable communication, and adaptability are essential for success in a fast-paced school setting.

Qualifications

• Availability Monday through Friday during school hours, with the flexibility to respond to last-minute scheduling requests
• Complete paid training across our full curriculum so you're ready to cover any grade level or topic
• Comfort delivering a wide range of hands-on, technology-based workshops across multiple grade levels
• Confidence engaging and managing a classroom independently, often with limited lead time
• Reliability and strong communication, since schools rely on quick confirmation when a need arises

Responsibilities

• Lead one-hour, drop-in STEAM workshops for K3–5th grade when a regular Educator is unavailable
• Prepare materials and deliver hands-on activities aligned to the curriculum
• Collaborate with SHARP staff to ensure smooth workshop execution and student engagement
