Bloomington Public Schools is accepting applications for daily, on-call Substitute Paraprofessionals for the 25-26school year!

A paraprofessional substitute, often called a "para sub," assists teachers and supports students in a school setting. Their duties may include helping with classroom management, providing one-on-one or small group instruction, supporting students with special needs, and aiding in daily classroom activities. They might also assist withsupervising students during breaks, and help ensure that the classroom environment is conducive to learning. Their goal is to support both teachers and students to maintain a productive and positive learning experience. Sub Paras aremainly in Special Education classrooms.

Pay Rate:
$23.40 per hour

Responsibilities:

• Hours and duties vary depending on the position
• Most positions are working with students with special needs including assisting them with assigned tasks and daily living activities in either a classroom or one to one basis
• Other assignments may include supervising students sent to the quiet room, lunchroom or recess supervision or classroom assistant
• High School Diploma is required
