Job summary

NWS — FreshPure Water Systems in Boone, NC is seeking a Service Technician for on-call work as a 1099 independent contractor. You will diagnose and repair water vending machines at retail stores, with flexible hours and competitive pay.

Ideal candidates have hands-on plumbing and electrical experience, can work independently, and document repairs with before/after photos. You’ll be dispatched as needed, with no fixed schedule and mileage included in the rate.

Qualifications

• Hands-on plumbing experience: water lines, valves, fittings, connections.
• Hands-on electrical experience: wiring, components, troubleshooting.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical equipment independently.

Responsibilities

• Respond to on-call dispatches at retail locations in Boone, NC.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues on water vending equipment.
• Complete a service report with before and after photos at each visit.
• Communicate findings and repair status back to the NWS home office.
