Job summary

Thompson Palm Springs Resort is actively recruiting for On-Call Events/Banquet Servers to support the hotel’s Event Services team. The role involves setting up, presenting menus, and serving food and drinks for banquets and events in a fast-paced luxury environment.

This is an on-call hourly position with a budgeted rate of $16.90 per hour plus service charge. Candidates should be flexible, reliable, and able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must have previous experience working in event services.
• Refined verbal communication skills.
• Must have physical stamina to lift moderate amounts of weight.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Riverside County Food Handler Card in accordance with county requirements.

Responsibilities

• The On-Call Events/Banquet Servers handle food and drink service for hotel banquet functions.
• They make sure the event space looks great and present the menu to guests.
• This includes setting up linens and tables, designing food stations, and serving drinks.
• Other tasks include general prep work, refreshing the room between sessions, and keeping everything clean.

Thompson Palm Springs Resort is now recruiting for On-Call Events/Banquet Servers to join the hotel’s Event Services team.

The On-Call Events/Banquet Servers handle food and drink service for hotel banquet functions. They make sure the event space looks great and present the menu to guests. This includes setting up linens and tables, designing food stations, and serving drinks. Other tasks include general prep work, refreshing the room between sessions, and keeping everything clean.

This is a nonexempt (hourly) role. The budgeted rate for this role is $16.90, plus service charge. This is the hourly rate for this position that Thompson Palm Springs reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual hourly rates will be based on a number of factors including experience, and education.
