Job summary

Presbyterian Homes & Services in Minnesota is seeking a Fitness Instructor to lead, instruct and motivate individuals or groups in exercise activities at assigned campuses, including aquatic options where available. You will work with the Fitness Director to develop curricula and schedules necessary to achieve wellness objectives.

This role requires current CPR, Personal Training, and Group Fitness certifications, a high school diploma (bachelor’s preferred), and the ability to travel between

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field or equivalent experience in the fitness industry.
• Current CPR certification.
• Current Personal Training Certification.
• Current Group Fitness Certification.
• Ability to relate professionally with residents, guests, families and employees.
• Willingness to travel to other PHS communities.
• Fluent English communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct professional classes in balance, strengthening, flexibility, endurance and other topics.
• Develop and implement curriculum and class schedules with the Fitness Director.
• Supervise open swim when applicable to ensure safety.
• Administer standardized assessments.
• Educate residents and caregivers on interventions and programs.
• Maintain a safe, clean fitness area and equipment.
• Monitor vital signs during activities.
• Complete accurate documentation and billing when applicable.
• Manage schedule to meet residents' needs; be flexible.
