Job summary

Summit County in Coalville, UT is seeking a Part-time/As-Needed Senior Citizen Activity Bus Driver to safely transport seniors to activities, appointments, and meals. This on-call position requires flexibility to accept assignments as needed.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license with a clean record, and the ability to operate a small bus/van (CDL not required). Experience with seniors or customer service is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must obtain and submit a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
• Ability to safely operate a small bus/van; CDL not required.
• Experience with seniors or in a customer service role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a small bus/van to transport senior citizens.
• Perform routine duties including fueling, cleaning, and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues promptly.
• Drive carefully and smoothly with attention to passenger safety.
• Assist passengers on and off the bus, including mobility assistance.
• Operate wheelchair lift systems and secure mobility devices.
• Transport participants to county activities between senior centers as needed.
• Complete required documentation, including daily activity reports.
• Schedule buses for activities as assigned.
• Maintain and clean the vehicle after trips.
• Follow state laws, county policies, and safety procedures.
• Communicate professionally with the public, coworkers, and participants.
