Job summary

NANA Regional Corporation in Belle Chasse, LA seeks an on-call Security Officer to protect people and property in a busy public setting. You will monitor zones, de-escalate incidents, and coordinate with facilities to maintain safety and security across varied assignments.

Responsibilities include inspecting facilities, reporting incidents, and assisting in emergencies. A valid TWIC, Louisiana Guard License, and English proficiency are required; 21+ and 12-hour shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least two years of security, law enforcement or military experience preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License and a clean driving record for the past 3 years.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must have or obtain a valid TWIC card before employment.
• Must be able to obtain and pay the Louisiana Guard License fee before starting work.
• Teamwork ability and willingness to cooperate with others.
• Ability to make quick decisions with minimal supervision.
• Must be on your feet for up to 12 hours per shift.
• Contract requires English speaking, reading and writing.

Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned areas using visual, electronic, or audible methods across various locations.
• Maintain safety and compliance in all actions.
• De-escalate situations to ensure safety of employees, customers, and clients.
• Inspect interior and exterior areas to confirm security.
• Record data on incidents and property damage per policies.
• Warn violators and manage access as needed.
• Notify on-site personnel of visitors.
• Respond to emergencies, including fire and active shooter protocols.
• Operate safety and life support programs as needed.
• Issue and record ID badges as required.
• Check systems (heating, lighting, sprinklers, security, ventilation, fire) for operation.
• May perform other duties; position has no supervisory responsibilities.
