Job summary

Port of Vancouver USA is seeking an On-Call Security Officer to protect port facilities, people, and cargo. The role offers flexible scheduling with 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays, and opportunities to gain experience in a dynamic port environment.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, at least two years in security or related fields, and the ability to obtain a TWIC card, pass background checks, and work in a fast-paced setting while delivering excellent service.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience in security, public safety, or military preferred.
• Ability to obtain and maintain TWIC card; pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Protect Port property and maintain a safe, secure environment for employees, tenants and visitors.
• Respond to security incidents and emergencies; assist with berthing operations and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain customer service relationships and coordinate with local agencies as needed.
• Work varied shifts including weekends and holidays; support vessel berthing and safety protocols.
