Job summary

The Neptune Township School District is seeking Substitute School Safety Officers for the 2026-2027 school year. These substitute positions provide safety support across our schools with per diem pay.

Responsibilities include working with building principals, staff, students and parents, maintaining a secure environment, and complying with district and state requirements. The role requires fingerprinting and a clean background, and includes per diem compensation consistent with negotiations.

Qualifications

• Background in law enforcement safety and/or security preferred.
• Experience in working with students and parents.
• Ability to work cooperatively with school personnel.
• Reliable, trustworthy and able to handle disruptive situations with students.
• Fingerprinting is required for criminal history background clearance.
• Required physical and drug test offered at no charge.
