Job summary

Kehoe-France School and ISP seeks a Substitute School Nurse to provide nursing care in a dynamic K-12 environment in Louisiana.

The role focuses on assessing ill or injured students, administering medications per physician orders and parent authorization, maintaining health records, and collaborating with staff to support student safety and wellbeing. A current Louisiana RN license and CPR/First Aid certification are required.

Qualifications

RN license required in Louisiana.
CPR and First Aid certification required.
Experience in pediatric, school nursing, emergency, or community health preferred.
Ability to maintain confidentiality per HIPAA/FERPA and school policies.
Ability to work independently while collaborating with school staff.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing assessment, first aid, and emergency care for students, staff, and visitors.
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders, parent authorization, and school policy.
Maintain accurate documentation of health visits, medications, treatments, and incidents.
Monitor students with chronic conditions and implement healthcare plans.
Collaborate with administrators, teachers, and staff to support student health and safety.
Respond to medical emergencies and participate in emergency procedures.
Follow health office procedures and maintain a safe, organized health space.
