Qualifications

• Must be a licensed RN and hold or be in the process of obtaining an approved Maine CHRC at time of hire.
• Maine DOE certification for School Nurse preferred.
• Associate degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for illness and injury to students and staff according to established protocols.
• Provide nursing care as outlined by individualized health plans for students with chronic conditions.
• Administer first aid, handle emergencies and triage as needed.
• Administers medications and oversees diabetic student needs as directed by health plans.
• Maintain daily log of student and staff visits to the health office.
• Other duties as assigned by district/building administration.
