Job summary

Logan County School District is seeking a Substitute Bus Driver for the Russellville, Kentucky area. Immediate start with duties including transporting students, loading/unloading at stops, and maintaining vehicle safety and cleanliness.

The role requires Kentucky driver’s license and School Bus Driver Certificate; prior school transportation experience preferred. Position is as-needed (PRN) within the district’s Transportation department.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in transportation of school children or completion of a school bus driver training program.
• Possession of a valid Kentucky Motor Vehicle Operator's License.
• Possession of a School Bus Driver Certificate issued by the state of Kentucky.

Responsibilities

• Drive a school bus or transportation vehicle over assigned routes on an established schedule.
• Load and unload students safely at designated stops and on trips.
• Maintain a clean and orderly vehicle and report any mechanical defects.
• Assist in safety drills and supervise student behavior on the bus.
