Job summary

The Dallas Independent School District is seeking an On Call CDL Bus Driver responsible for the safety of students while transporting them to school and other activities. You will operate according to assigned schedules, manage transportation records, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

The ideal candidate must have a valid Texas Commercial Driver's License with proper endorsements and have a reliable and punctual work history. Experience in managing multiple tasks in a flexible schedule is also required.

Qualifications

• Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent (U.S.A. equivalency) preferred.
• Texas Commercial Driver's License (Class A or B) with Passenger (P) and School (S) endorsements.
• Ability to pass U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) alcohol and drug tests and annual physical exam.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assumes charge of the bus and passengers while in-route.
• Operates according to assigned schedules and routes.
• Documents and reports discipline problems to the transportation supervisor.
• Maintains a clean bus and conducts pre-trip and post-trip inspection.
