Job summary

National Water Services in Birmingham/Hoover, AL, is seeking Repair Technicians with hands-on plumbing and electrical experience to service water vending equipment on an on-call basis. You’ll diagnose issues, perform repairs, and submit reports after each visit to the NWS home office.

This 1099 independent contractor role offers a flexible on-call schedule and is compensated at $55 per hour, with no fixed hours and mileage included.

Qualifications

• Hands-on plumbing experience with water lines, valves, fittings, and connections.
• Hands-on electrical experience including wiring and components.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical equipment independently.
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license; smartphone with camera.

Responsibilities

• Respond to on-call dispatches at retail store locations in your area.
• Diagnose and repair plumbing, electrical, and mechanical issues on water vending equipment.
• Complete a service report with before and after photos at each visit.
• Communicate findings and repair status back to the NWS home office.
