Job summary

Boys Town National Research Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technologist to operate radiographic equipment and produce diagnostic images. You will position patients, maintain sterile technique, and assist radiologists in exams, while preparing rooms and handling contrast media as needed.

Responsibilities include image processing, sending to PACS, and ensuring accurate documentation and billing for x-ray studies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an AMA approved, accredited School of Radiologic Technology or Education in Radiologic Technology from an approved program of the U.S. Military required.
• ARRT in Radiography and Nebraska licensure required.
• CPR certified required.

Responsibilities

• Operates x-ray equipment including fluoroscopy, c-arm, dental equipment and portable, as assigned, for each exam in accordance with radiation safety guidelines.
• Positions and instructs patients for each anatomical view using immobilization, support, and protective devices.
• Apply sterile technique during procedures and prepares room with contrast media per radiologist protocol.
• Assist providers during examination and treatment and process images using DR/CR reader.
• Send images to PACS and demonstrate knowledge of basic PACS software; route history to radiologist.
