Job summary

Hickory Trail Hospital, part of Universal Health Services (UHS), seeks a transporter to move patients to and from the Outpatient Services and to manage behavior during transport. The role requires a current Texas driver’s license, a clean driving record, and CPI/CPR certifications prior to direct care.

The position supports 24/7 operations and may require flexible hours. Experience with patients of various ages is preferred. UHS is a large health care provider with a broad network of facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of experience driving a van type vehicle.
• Experience with patients or adults and children preferred.
• Current Texas driver’s license and a clear driving record.
• CPI and CPR certification must be completed prior to providing direct care services.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients to and from the Outpatient Services of Hickory Trail Hospital.
• Maintain behavioral management of patients while enroute.
• Report to the Coordinator any behavioral or safety issues.
