Aya Locums has an immediate opening for a locum Pathology physician in Dubois, PA. The assignment is 13 weeks with 24-Hour on-call coverage and standard 07:00–07:00 shifts. Start date is 11-16-26.

Responsibilities include performing gross and microscopic examinations, delivering timely diagnostic information, and maintaining records. Requires MD/DO, pathology residency, and board certification with PA license.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school; pathology residency required.
• Board certification in pathology; active PA medical license.
• Locum tenens positions are temporary assignments; familiarity with state regulations is helpful.

Responsabilités

• Perform gross and microscopic examinations of tissue samples, blood and other bodily fluids to diagnose diseases.
• Provide accurate and timely diagnostic information to physicians to aid in patient care decisions.
• Conduct autopsies to determine cause of death when required.
• Interpret and communicate pathology results to other healthcare providers.
• Maintain high standards of quality control and compliance with laboratory regulations and protocols.
• Participate in case reviews to discuss complex cases.
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.
