Qualifications

• Valid California driver's license with a clean driving record.
• CDL Class A or B required.
• Valid (P) Passenger and (S) School Bus Endorsements.
• Current or ability to obtain a school bus/pupil transportation certificate as required.
• Must pass background check and DOT physical/drug screening.
• Previous experience driving school buses, shuttles, or passenger vans preferred.
• Patient, responsible, and comfortable working with school-age children.
• Flexible availability to respond to on-call and part-time scheduling needs.

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students and staff to and from school field trip destinations throughout the Los Angeles area.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure shuttle is in safe operating condition.
• Maintain accurate trip logs, mileage records, and passenger counts.
• Follow all traffic laws, school transportation regulations, and company safety policies.
• Assist students with boarding and exiting the vehicle in a safe and orderly manner.
• Communicate effectively with school staff and coordinators regarding schedules and route changes.
• Respond to on-call scheduling needs with reliability and punctuality.
