Orting School District is seeking applicants for substitute paraeducator positions to provide instructional assistance under a certificated teacher. This role supports students individually or in small groups and contributes to safety and disciplinary processes on site.

Qualifications

• Ability to utilize appropriate strategies and techniques to provide effective instructional support.

Responsibilities

• Work with students individually or in small groups in a variety of content areas/subjects.
• Provide for the safety of students at assigned work area by enforcing the rules for the site.
• Correct papers.
• Assist staff, as appropriate, in the design, implementation, and evaluation of instructional programs and student progress.
• Assist in student supervision, discipline and safety.
• File papers, run errands, operate duplication machines, attendance, minor clerical duties.
• Lead group discussions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
