Job summary

Kaiser Permanente Downey is seeking a Nursing Attendant to provide direct patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician. You will support the care team, uphold policies, ensure patient safety, and assist with routine tasks to help deliver quality care.

This role requires a minimum of one year of Nursing Attendant experience in relevant settings and may accept current RN/LVN student enrollment as substitution. BLS certification is required where applicable.

Qualifications

• Minimum one (1) year experience as a Nursing Attendant in an acute hospital, skilled nursing, extended care, or convalescent care setting.
• Current enrollment in an approved RN or LVN program may be substituted for 1 year of experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or as specified.

Responsibilities

• Upholds Kaiser Permanente policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrates professional, supportive attitude and effective communication with the health care team.
• Performs patient care activities under supervision within the scope of competency.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and safe, clean work environment.
