Job summary

Bristol Hospice seeks compassionate Registered Nurses to serve as Warriors of the Night, providing after-hours visits, admissions, and compassionate care for patients and families during evenings and weekends.

The role values autonomy, empathy, and strong communication while coordinating care across the service area. Travel is required and the team emphasizes dignity, respect, and high-quality end-of-life support.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse with hospice knowledge and current licensure.
• Familiar with telephone triage and coordination of home visits.
• Flexible schedule and ability to travel across service area.

Responsibilities

• Will perform after hours and weekend visits and admissions as needed.
• Follow up on phone calls by directing to RN staff and addressing needs per scope.
• Dispatch field nurses to patient residences in a timely manner.
• Refill prescriptions, order supplies and DME, and assist coordination.
• Document calls and outcomes in call-in software system.
• Receive start-of-shift reports and provide end-of-shift reports.
• All other duties as assigned.
