Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic Bartender to join our team at the Hilton Garden Inn Hartford North Bradley location. This part-time role involves beverage preparation, service in the lounge and bar, and light kitchen prep. A friendly team player who can work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays, is invited to apply.

Applicants must be TIPS certified in Connecticut and have a strong knowledge of alcohol service. Prior hotel bartending is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be TIPS certified in CT.
• Minimum of High School education.
• Minimum of three (3) years in a bartending role.
• Alcohol awareness certification REQUIRED.
• Previous hotel bartending experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsabilités

• Prepare and serve beverages and light food in lounge and bar areas.
• Ensure bar, glasses and cutlery are clean and sanitized.
• Greet guests, verify ages, take orders, and present bills.
• Monitor guests for over-consumption and take appropriate actions.
• Lock up and secure beverage, food and equipment; handle cash drops.

What You Will Be Doing

As a Bartender/Food and Beverage host you will be responsible for limited service of the lounge and bar area including but not limited to: beverage preparation and service, food service and limited kitchen prep and responsibilities.

Job Requirements

• Must be TIPS certified in the state of Connecticut
• This is a Part Time position
• Must have a friendly disposition and the ability to work as a team with others
• Shift is mainly 4pm-11pm
• The ability to work a flexible schedule
• Availability to work weekends and holidays, in addition to weekdays is a must!
• Attention to detail very important
• Previous hotel bartending experience a plus, but not required

This is not a Monday through Friday job, in fact it requires a flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays, but it is for you if you love people and have the right attitude!

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensures bar is set up with appropriate levels of liquor, juices, crushes, additives, soda, etc.

Ensures that the bar, glasses and cutlery is clean and sanitized

Ensures guests are of legal age to consume alcohol

Prepares drink orders according to bar standards and guest preferences

Presents bar bill and takes payment

Ensures guests are engaged and satisfied

Monitors guests for overconsumption of alcohol and takes steps as necessary

Locks up and store all beverage , food and other equipment items, deposits cash drops and secures bank.

Perform various other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Minimum of High School education

Minimum of three (3) years in a bartending role

Certification in bartending preferred

Alcohol awareness certification REQUIRED

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Thorough knowledge of alcohol serving practices and standards

Ability to communicate effectively verbally

Ability to exceed expectations of guests

Detail-oriented

Team player
