Job summary

Cirque du Soleil's Blue Man Group in Las Vegas is seeking an on-call Musical Instrument Technician (MIT). You will ensure all show instruments are tuned and maintained to artistic standards, with a focus on string and percussion instruments.

Strong collaboration with Stage Management, Audio, and performers is essential. The role requires experience with instrument construction/tuning, fluent English, and the ability to work in a fast-paced live environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with musical instrument construction and tuning.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Verification of right to work in the United States (Form I-9) upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and tune show instruments (percussive & string) to specifications.
• Coordinate with Stage Management, Audio, Band and MIT leadership for sound quality and instrument care.
• Troubleshoot and repair instruments, amps, pedals and cabling under live show conditions.
• Attend rehearsals and sound checks; document notes and implement cues as required.
• Oversee instrument positioning and sound in show spaces; manage maintenance lists.
