Job summary

Hendricks Regional Health in Indiana is seeking an experienced MRI Technologist to perform Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures and related radiographic tasks. You will prepare patients, select protocols, operate the MRI, and ensure safety and documentation for licensed physicians.

The role requires a radiography background, ARRT credentials, and continued cross-sectional anatomy education. On-call duties may be required during non-regular hours.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be a graduate of an approved School of Radiographic Technology and have the credentials as stated in #IX-Vocational Preparation
• Computer experience
• Should be an experienced radiographer demonstrating a knowledge base to successfully complete MRI procedures, and maintain additional education in cross sectional anatomy

Responsibilities

• Performs Magnetic Resonance Imaging procedures.
• Corroborates patient’s clinical history with procedure and documents for licensed practitioner.
• Prepares patient for procedures and provides instructions to obtain desired results.
• Operates MRI equipment and determines scanning parameters.
• Selects appropriate protocol as specified by Radiologist.
• Immobilizes patient and ensures safety during examination.
• Verifies documentation and assists licensed physician.
• Maintains patient comfort and addresses needs during procedures.
• Cares for equipment and contrast agents and monitors safety.
• Learns to perform venipunctures as needed.
• Records patient histories and generates imaging media for release
• Participates in on-call duties as required
