Job summary

Suncadia is seeking an On-Call Massage Therapist for our Glade Spring Spa. You will perform massages and body treatments, providing personalized attention to each guest to ensure an exceptional spa experience. The role requires flexibility to accommodate evenings and weekend shifts in a inviting resort setting.

Salary is $17.13/hr plus commissions. Benefits include sick time accrual, 401K with company match, employee discounts, and more.

Qualifications

• Two years minimum experience in a high quality Spa.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid WA state massage therapy license required.
• Industry certifications a plus.
• CPR/First aid certification highly desirable.
• Proficient in massage therapy fundamentals, anatomy and physiology, guest privacy, and wellness.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests.
• Provide professional skin care or massage treatments to guests.
• Inform guests about treatments and services; provide demonstrations if needed.
• Follow sterilization, draping, contraindication screening and treatment protocols.
• Promote regimen programs to maximize home care benefits.
• Support spa culture and guiding principles.
• Handle guest interactions with patience, tact, and diplomacy.
• Assist in spa cleanliness and maintenance; support concierge desk as needed.
• Attend department meetings and stay updated on new techniques and products.
• Promote and sell massage and body products.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome guests.
• Provide a professional skin care treatment to every guest that utilizes the spa.
• Provide information to guests about treatments and services, and provide demonstrations if necessary.
• Follow all procedures and guidelines in performing skincare and hair removal services. I.e., follow guidelines regarding proper sterilization of equipment, adhere to draping policy, refer guests with medical problems to their physician or dermatologist, conduct a pre-screening of clients for contraindications, and adhere to time length and treatment protocols when performing treatments.
• Promote a regimen program to clients, by which they can realize the maximum benefit from their skincare treatments at home.
• Promotes and champions resort culture and spa guiding principles.
• Must be able to effectively deal with internal & external guests, some of whom will require levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect factual information and resolve conflict.
• Seeks continued self development opportunities.
• Assist in the cleanliness and maintenance of the spa.
• Assist as needed at the Spa concierge desk.
• Attend department and property meetings.
• Proactively identify potential guest issues.
• Monitor guest satisfaction processes, and responds to guest concerns, and inquiries.
• Continue training in new techniques and products.
• Promote and sell all massage and body products.
• Responsible for organization of all product/equipment in individual workstations.
• Other duties as assigned
