Job summary

Washington State Department of Corrections seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN4) on-call for the Monroe Correctional Complex in Monroe, WA. Under RN supervision, you will assist in implementing the nursing process, deliver patient care, and manage medications in a correctional setting.

Shift differentials award $2.50 per hour for evening/night shifts, plus additional premiums for late-night and weekend hours.

Qualifications

• Initial and continuous licensure as LPN in Washington state.
• Two years of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
• American Heart Association CPR training.

Responsibilities

• Practice nursing in a correctional setting following state laws and codes.
• Monitor health data and report findings to the RN.
• Assist the RN in developing nursing diagnoses and care plans.
• Carry out the care plan and ensure continuity of care.
• Administer medications under RN supervision and provide patient education.
• Provide emergency medical care including CPR.
• Coordinate with staff to ensure timely nursing interventions.
