Job summary

Geeks On Site is seeking an On-Call IT Field Technician to provide PC, Mac, POS and TV mounting support across multiple U.S. cities.

This is an independent contractor (1099) role with no guaranteed hours; you set your availability and accept jobs that fit your route. Responsibilities include troubleshooting Windows and macOS, configuring printers, resolving network issues, mounting outdoor TVs, and supporting POS systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years in IT support or field service.
• Strong networking and diagnostic skills essential.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license required.
• Ability to work independently and provide professional service.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot Windows and macOS issues.
• Resolve WiFi, router and network problems.
• Install and configure printers and scanners.
• Replace or upgrade hardware components.
• Reinstall operating systems using bootable tools.
• Document work and communicate with customers clearly.
• Install POS systems and run Cat5e/Cat6 cabling.
• Perform outdoor TV mounting and basic AV setup.
